Welcome to MicroConsoleWorld.com

Welcome to MicroConsoleWorld.com. We hope to be the premiere resource for everything related to the microconsole explosion set to happen. This year alone we have seen several microconsoles announced, rumored, or released. OUYA was the first out of the gate quickly followed by nVidia’s Shield, and later his year we should see PlayJam’s Gametick, BlueStacks GamePop, and MadCatz’s Mojo. Then there is also the rumored microconsoles being developed by both Google and Amazon.

Right now it seems Android is the operating system of choice for microconsoles, as there are thousands of Android games/apps already available. Some of the devices are offering Google Play access, while others are choosing to have their own App stores to access content. App availability and quality will likely make or break a microconsole, so it will be interesting to see how each device maneuvers these waters.

The big question will be, “How will the world accept microconsoles?”

We hope you will join us on the road to finding out.

P.S. – Pardon us as we are still working on the site.
